Compared to other computer magazines, this is a whale of a bargain. That's only the tip of the iceberg, though. I like to keep up on what's technologically available out there, being an avid reader of both online review sites/blogs and magazine guides. I especially enjoy the layout of Computer Shopper Magazine because it comes packed with comprehensive features - a few "main" articles and a handful of gadgets/equipment reviews per relevant categories (i.e. hardware, software, cameras, etc.).
In between articles, reviews, guides and how-tos, there are various vendor ads ranging from high-tech equipment to discount sales. Computer Shopper also has those helpful comparison grids comparing features and prices from top manufacturers.
Thumbs up to CNET - been a fan of their online reviews for a long time now, as well as their magazine Computer Shopper.

Computer Shopper Magazine is an excellent periodical. It has helped me immensely in making all of my computing purchases. In today's day and age, the personal computer is at the heart of our everyday lives. At the same time, personal computers are very large investments. The technology governing these machines is rapidly changing, and I have found it impossible to make an informed decision regarding a computer purchase without the aid of this magazine. When buying a new machine, the goal should always be to find a good balance between cutting edge performance and economic constraints. It is very easy to overspend and end up with a high end computer that is only average after three months, and it is also easy to save a few dollars and end up with a machine that is completely obsolete in three months. This magazine is the perfect tool to find the exact balance between the two. I highly recommend this magazine.
